It has been observed during a recent study, that depression risk, among patients, discharged after admission in intensive care units (I.C.U.) in hospitals, increases.


More than fifty per cent of patients admitted and treated in hospitals I.C.U. Reported phycological disorders including anxiety and depression.

Such patients need proper care and treatment, once they are discharged from hospitals. Family members play a vital role in recovering from depression and anxiety, besides proper medical treatment.

Simply by sitting by the patient bed and holding the patient hand gives the patient the much-needed comfort.


Research has shown that there are positives effects on patients conditions, including reduced blood pressure and heart rate, when visited by their loved ones.
